The great thing in this world is not so much where we stand,
as in what direction we are moving
.

- Oliver Wendell Holmes

This is a regular folding card, but there is no front or back. The complete outside surface of the card is covered with an optical illusion: a tiled pattern of opposing arrows. This pattern is printed in a light varnish, and the dominant direction of the arrows may appear to change, depending on the light and how you perceive the image. The inside of the card also has no specific orientation: M.C. Escher's famous multi-perspective drawing has been "adapted" to feature multiple Santa's ascending the staircases.
