This card is based on a reversible design of the words "Merry Christmas" by an artist named Scott Kim. The words balance about the center letter "t" in Christmas. The "t" was elongated
to help establish it as the trunk of a large "Christmas tree" formed by the words themselves.
The design is "printed" in colored foil on clear plastic so that it can be read from both sides.
The foil is unusual as it has different colors on the front and back; the "front" is red, and the
back side which adheres to the plastic (normally not seen) is silver. At the time this card
was created, foil on clear plastic had never been done. It took some experimentation to
make the foil adhere correctly without cracking or peeling.
